#Pakal_Kafe: Netiv HaLamed-Heh Monument
Here's an interesting fact about Israelis - They like to take a pakal kafe with them on hikes in nature, or when they visit their nearby ma'ayan (spring). (or sometimes use them at home!)
Why? Do you ask? Well, simply because there is nothing more Israeli than enjoying the outdoors with a nice steaming glass of fresh coffee (*Don't worry, there is always emergency tea for the non-coffee drinkers).
The story
The Lookout Point is located near Kibbutz Lamed Heh. The Lamed Heh, 35 in Hebrew numerology, were 35 Palmah soldiers that were killed in battle during the Israeli War of Independence. Their platoon was on the way to help the besieged Gush Etzion and was ambushed by Arab forces on their way.
Near the hill where the battle took place, you will find two lookout points that overlook the beautiful area and tell the heroic story of the Lamed Heh.

Besides the breathtaking view, you can listen to a recording and written signs, telling the story of the Lamed Heh and their tragic battle.

Directions
By 🚙 You can't find this location on Waze instead you can put in "Nativ Ha'lamed-Heh" as the location. The directions will take you right before the yellow gate, you will have to take a right turn where you will see a sign (see image 1 below) don't go along the dirt road, look for the paved road (see image 2 below) and go up the hill until you reach the monument.
