Israel's First IVF Baby
On July 25th, 1978, the world's first-ever test-tube baby was born in England. just four years later, Israel became just the fifth country in the world where an in-vitro fertilization process took place. As a result of that process, now news anchor Romi Noymark was introduced to the world.
Romi Noymark grew up in Emek Heffer, near the city of Netanya. Her father, Gabi Noymark, was a famous Israeli basketball player. He played for Maccabi Tel Aviv, Maccabi Haifa, and the Israeli National Team. He, unfortunately, passed away after battling cancer for many years, when Romi was just 18 years old.
Romi drafted into Galei Tzahal, the IDF Army Radio in 2000, and that is where her illustrious career began to take shape. After her service, Noymark received her Bachelor's in literature and Masters in Middle East history, from Tel Aviv University.
After working as the culture reporter for a few major Israeli websites, Noymark joined Channel 10 News as a news anchor and editor. She continued to host shows on the radio, at Galei Tzahal, and quickly became a known figure in the Israeli news scene.
Since May 2017, Romi Noymark has been hosting the late-night news on Kan 11, and occasionally the main news show as well.
This amazing woman is one of our favorite TV personalities, and she is a perfect example of a successful, respectful, and admirable Israeli super-woman.
